Geriatric physiotherapist Michelle van den Bos from Eindhoven is enthusiastic. For her master in geriatric physiotherapy, she researched the operation of Smart Floor. She found a high correlation between the standard tests that physiotherapists do to measure the risk of falling and the predictions of the floor. Michelle has a physiotherapy practice and also works for Archipel Zorggroep. Both work with the Smart Floor. “What I like about the floor is that you can predict the chance of falling of the elderly in a low-threshold way,” says Van den Bos. “This way you can intervene earlier when the chance of falling increases.”
